The Phoenix Municipal Court is the State’s largest limited jurisdiction court and is among the top ten busiest municipal courts in the United States.  The Court handles cases that range from minor traffic violations to misdemeanors carrying a maximum penalty of six months in jail, three years summary probation, and a $2,500 fine.

The Veterans Court is a specialty court within the Phoenix Municipal Court and is staffed by dedicated Officers of the Court, professional representatives of federal, state, and local service providers, externs from local law schools and volunteers. The Veterans Court convenes three sessions every Friday.
